The Respiratory Care Service Department provides respiratory therapy services to adults and pediatric patients, as ordered by physicians in accordance with HOH Medical Division, and Respiratory Care Service Department procedure manuals and international accreditation standards.
Provide the highest quality of respiratory care in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. Provide education programs for our staff. Promote continuous quality activities to improve the performance of the department, as well as the overall organization.
All patients on respiratory care services receive a full patient assessment that includes a health record review and physical assessment.
Based upon the assessment, any changes or modifications to current therapy are discussed with the patient’s family, nurse and physician. Regular follow-up assessments are done to monitor the patient’s progress according to the agreed plan of care.
